Creative process of Los Cuentos del Conejo (The Rabbit Tales)

I just opened Pandora’s book, which contains all the material we brought back from Maputo, Matola and Boane.

These are the collages that the albino children made, the ones from Hakumana and the children from the Boane school of the House of Gaiato.

The collages are made from cardboard boxes found in the street and later painted white by the albino children themselves. With the vast raw material, the participants of the illustration workshops managed to produce an incredible work.

Now I have the hardest but most rewarding task, which is to match the characters with the traditional stories told to us by the albino collective in the most disadvantaged neighbourhoods of Maputo, Mozambique.
