Africa matters

Today, 25th May, Africa Day, we want to celebrate it with all of you, inaugurating a new blog in which Libros de las Malas Compañías (Bad Companies Books) will actively collaborate.

A blog in which rich African oral literature will be the protagonist, because the African continent matters, and it matters a lot. Its literature, its history, and even its education are oral. It is told at night, by the light of the fire, and stories are the food for sleep. Like dreams, stories allow us to travel, we only have to say the magic words: Kakongokongo, Leeeebon, Karingana kai karingana, Sasa é (I am going to tell a story).

This blog wants to be a means of transport to the place of stories, to meet and take a flight to a world where the one who has neither claws nor fangs defeats the predator, where the hero is the one who forgets himself and takes risks so that his people can live without fear, a world where justice always triumphs. So be it.

And you can find it at:

We hope you like it and that you find in it stories that surprise you and make you fall in love as much as we do.
